HTML5 Templates by Industry: 20 Picks With Working Demos
By Manob Editorial ·

An HTML5 template is a ready-made static website: a folder of HTML, CSS and JavaScript files you edit and upload to any web host, with no CMS or database. A good one is responsive, built on a current framework such as Bootstrap 5, and includes the pages your industry needs. We picked 20 across nine industries.
What we checked
Manob's catalog has about 327 HTML templates. For this hub we picked two or three per industry that differ in layout and features, opened every live demo on October 13, 2026, and read the Bootstrap version the demo actually loads rather than trusting the listing. Where the listing and the demo disagree, we say so.
What an HTML5 template is, and what it isn't
You get files: HTML pages, stylesheets (often Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS), JavaScript plugins for sliders and galleries, fonts, icons and documentation. There's no admin panel, no database and no plugin updates. That also means no built-in blog editor, shop or booking engine: shop and cart pages are design only, and contact or booking forms need a server script or a form service before they send anything. Check the images too. Several listings, such as Naven, Stir and FindHusly, say the demo photos aren't in the download or are replaced with placeholders.
HTML template or WordPress theme?
- Choose HTML if the site changes a few times a year, someone comfortable with code will edit it, and you want fast pages, cheap static hosting and nothing to patch. It's also the better starting point if you plan to rebuild it in React or another stack later.
- Choose WordPress if non-technical people will post news, edit menus or prices every week, or if you need a blog, shop, bookings or memberships. Plugins do that work for you. Start with our agency, consulting or restaurant WordPress roundups.

How to choose an HTML5 template
- Check the framework version on the demo. Open the demo's bootstrap.min.css; the first line names the version. We found listings that say Bootstrap 5 while the demo loads 4.6. Our Bootstrap 5 templates guide shows how to check in under a minute.
- Expect jQuery. Bootstrap 5 doesn't need jQuery, but most templates still load it for carousels, galleries and filters.
- Know what the forms need. "Working Ajax form" usually means a PHP script on your server. If you host on a static host without PHP, plan on a form service.
- Count the pages you need. Write your sitemap first, then check the demo has a layout for each page. Building a missing page type from scratch costs more than the template.
- Check source files. Templates built with Sass, such as Reep and Landpagy, are easier to rebrand than compiled CSS, as long as the .scss files are in the download.
- Need RTL or dark mode? Pick a template that ships it, such as Stir, Banca or Naven, rather than adding it later.
When you're ready to edit, our guide on how to edit a Bootstrap template covers the workflow. Prefer a component-based stack? See our React templates. Designing first? Start with Figma UI kits.
Regular vs Extended License
Every product on Manob has two license prices. The Regular License covers a single end product where end users aren't charged, such as a company website. The Extended License is for an end product whose users are charged, such as a paid web app built from the template. Neither lets you redistribute the source files as they are, so you can't resell the template itself. Every purchase includes 6 months of free seller support through Manob's ticket system, and you can extend it. Every item can be previewed before purchase, and every product is manually reviewed before approval.
When to look elsewhere
- You need free. Everything on Manob is paid; prices across the catalog run from $9 to $93. HTML5 UP offers fully responsive HTML5 templates for free under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license, and Bootstrap's own examples are free under the MIT license.
- You want the widest choice. ThemeForest's site templates category said it had over 24,800 HTML templates as of October 2026.
- Non-technical people will run the site. Use WordPress instead; editing HTML by hand every week gets old fast.
Frequently asked questions
What is an HTML5 template?
It's a pre-built website made of static HTML5, CSS and JavaScript files. You replace the text and images, then upload the folder to any web host; there's no CMS or database.
Are HTML5 templates free?
Some are. HTML5 UP and Bootstrap's official examples are free with license conditions. Templates on Manob are paid, and you can open every live demo before buying.
Do I need to know code to use an HTML5 template?
Basic HTML and CSS, yes. You'll edit text, swap images and change colors in a code editor. If that sounds like too much, a WordPress theme or a site builder is a better fit.
Is a responsive HTML5 template mobile friendly?
Responsive means the layout adapts to phones and tablets, and every pick here is responsive. Still open the demo on a real phone and check menus, forms and tables.
Can I turn an HTML5 template into a WordPress theme?
Yes, but it's development work: a developer splits the pages into WordPress template files and connects them to the editor. If you already know you need WordPress, starting with a WordPress theme is usually cheaper.
Where can I host an HTML5 template?
Almost anywhere: shared hosting, a VPS or a static host. If the template's forms use PHP, pick a host that runs PHP or switch the forms to a form service.
