12 WordPress Agency Themes, Compared Honestly

A good WordPress agency theme puts your work ahead of your pitch: portfolio and case-study layouts, service and pricing sections, a page builder your team can edit, and a demo import that gets you live quickly. We compared 12 agency themes on Manob. Cruv and Ditek suit creative studios; Agencya and Dexon suit marketing and SEO shops.

The 12 agency themes at a glance

Manob lists more than 160 WordPress themes tagged for agencies. We cut that down to 12 that differ in who they're built for: creative studios, digital marketing and SEO agencies, web development and IT firms, AI agencies, and one-page sites. We dropped any theme whose live demo didn't load on October 13, 2026. All 12 picks are built around the Elementor page builder, so the main differences are layouts, bundled extras and how much each one is shaped for a particular kind of agency.

Creative and design agency themes

Creative studios sell on taste, so the portfolio matters more than the services grid. Start with these if your homepage will mostly show work.

Cruv: best for studios that want several homepage directions

Cruv ships multiple homepage designs aimed at creative, branding and digital agencies, so you can pick a direction instead of rebuilding a hero from scratch. It runs on Elementor with one-click demo import, and its listing covers portfolio showcases, case studies, services, team sections and client testimonials. Its tags include GSAP animation, which helps if motion is part of your brand. Test the demo on a phone to make sure the animation stays smooth there.

Kitu: best for minimal portfolios and small studios

Kitu is the quiet option. It has four homepage styles (Lite, Dark, Slide and Video) and four portfolio layouts (Ajax Grid, Masonry, Full-width and Mixed), so the work fills the screen. It's WooCommerce-ready if you later want to sell prints, templates or workshops, and it's tagged for one-page layouts. Pick it if your agency is two or three people and you'd rather show ten great projects than forty service blocks.

How to choose a WordPress agency theme

  • Start with the case-study page, not the hero. Open a single project page in the demo. Does it have room for the brief, your process, the result and a client quote? A homepage looks good in every demo; the project page is where agency themes differ.
  • Check what the page builder needs. All 12 picks use Elementor, which has a free version. Before you buy, ask the seller whether any demo layout depends on Elementor Pro.
  • Know which plugins come bundled. Premium plugins bundled with a theme, such as Slider Revolution in Consen, usually get updates through the theme rather than through a license of your own. Ask the seller how bundled plugins are updated.
  • Plan for more than one language. If you work in several languages, look for WPML compatibility. Agyn lists it, IT-Plot lists multi-language support, and 139 products across Manob's catalog are marked WPML-ready.
  • Test speed on the demo. Heavy sliders and scroll animations can slow a site down. Run a demo URL through PageSpeed Insights and scroll it on your phone before you decide.
  • Think about handoff. If a junior designer will maintain the site, a child theme (Agyn, Zomia) and a clear options panel (Ditek, Agencya) matter more than an extra homepage.

Regular vs Extended License for agency sites

A Regular License covers a single end product whose end users aren't charged, so your own agency site needs one Regular License. A site you build for a client is a separate end product, so each client site needs its own license. You need the Extended License when end users pay for the end product, for example a members-only area or a paid app built on the theme. Neither license lets you redistribute the theme's source as-is. Extended License prices vary a lot between listings, so compare both prices on the product page. Every purchase includes 6 months of seller support through Manob's built-in ticket system, and you can extend it at 30% before it expires or renew at 75% after.

When to look elsewhere

  • You need it free. Manob's items are paid, priced by sellers from $9 to $93 across the catalog. The WordPress.org theme directory listed 8,695 free themes as of October 2026, and it says every theme in the directory is reviewed by its Themes team.
  • You want a block theme. None of these 12 is sold as a block theme for the Site Editor. WordPress.org has a Block themes filter.
  • You want to compare marketplaces. Our ThemeForest alternatives comparison covers where else to shop for themes.
  • You're a freelancer, not an agency. A personal portfolio usually fits better than an agency theme. See our portfolio website templates roundup.
  • You sell advice more than design. Our consulting WordPress themes roundup covers themes built around services and bookings.
  • You don't want WordPress at all. A static HTML template is cheaper to host and harder to break. See HTML5 templates.

You can also browse every WordPress theme on Manob, with live previews for each item. Once you've bought one, our guide to installing a WordPress theme manually covers the upload and FTP methods.

Frequently asked questions

What is a WordPress agency theme?

It's a WordPress theme designed for agencies, with ready-made layouts for services, portfolio and case studies, team, pricing and contact pages. You install it, import a demo and swap in your own content.

Are there free WordPress agency themes?

Yes. The WordPress.org theme directory has free themes you can use for an agency site. The themes in this roundup are paid; Manob's catalog ranges from $9 to $93.

Do these agency themes need Elementor Pro?

All 12 are built for Elementor, which has a free version. The listings don't say whether any demo needs Elementor Pro, so ask the seller before you buy.

Can I use one theme license for several client sites?

No. A Regular License covers a single end product, so each client site needs its own license. If the client charges its users for the site, that site needs an Extended License.

Can I preview an agency theme before buying?

Yes. Every item on Manob has a live preview, and each pick in this roundup links to its demo.

How do I install a theme I bought?

Upload the theme zip under Appearance > Themes > Add New Theme > Upload Theme, or copy the unzipped folder to wp-content/themes over FTP. Then activate it and run the demo import.
