Bootstrap 5 Templates: 12 Picks We Version-Checked on the Live Demo

A good Bootstrap template runs a current Bootstrap 5 release, ideally 5.3 if you want built-in dark mode, uses the framework's grid and utilities instead of fighting them, and ships its source files. We opened the live demos of 59 Manob templates whose listings say Bootstrap 5, and 54 actually load 5.x. Here are 12 verified picks.
What we found when we checked 59 demos
On October 13, 2026 we took every HTML template on Manob whose listing mentions Bootstrap 5, opened its live demo, and read the version line at the top of the Bootstrap stylesheet the demo loads. One more listing's stylesheet had no version line, so we left it out. Here's what the other 59 showed:
- 54 load Bootstrap 5.x: 33 on 5.0, 1 on 5.1, 6 on 5.2 and 14 on 5.3.
- 5 load an older version even though the listing says Bootstrap 5: four run 4.6 and one runs 3.3.7.
- All 54 Bootstrap 5 demos still load jQuery, usually for carousels, lightboxes and filterable galleries.
So "Bootstrap 5" on a listing is usually true but not always, and "5" covers a wide range: color modes only arrived in 5.3. Every pick below is one we confirmed on its live demo, with the exact version noted.

What Bootstrap 5 gives you
These changes come from Bootstrap's own migration guide and docs:
- No jQuery dependency. Version 5.0 dropped jQuery and rewrote its plugins in plain JavaScript. Templates can still add jQuery for their own plugins, and most do.
- A six-tier grid. 5.0 added an xxl breakpoint for screens 1400px and up.
- The utility API. A Sass-based tool to generate and change utility classes, so you can add your own spacing or color utilities instead of writing one-off CSS (docs).
- Built-in RTL. Utilities use logical names such as ms-* and me-* instead of ml-* and mr-*, which is what makes right-to-left versions practical.
- Namespaced data attributes. Plugins use data-bs-toggle instead of data-toggle, so they don't clash with your own scripts.
- Color modes in 5.3. Set data-bs-theme="dark" on the page, a section or a component to get dark mode without a second stylesheet.
- No Internet Explorer. 5.0 dropped IE 10 and 11.
As of October 2026, the latest stable release is 5.3.8, and Bootstrap 6 is in alpha.
How to tell a template's Bootstrap version
- Open the live demo and view the page source (Ctrl+U on Windows, Cmd+Option+U on a Mac).
- Search the source for "bootstrap" and open the bootstrap.min.css link. The first comment reads something like "Bootstrap v5.3.3".
- Or open the browser console and type
bootstrap.Tooltip.VERSION. It works when the template loads Bootstrap's JavaScript bundle globally. - Read the markup. data-bs-toggle, ms-3 and form-select mean version 5; data-toggle, ml-3 and custom-select mean version 4.
- Search the source for "jquery" so you know whether you're carrying it.
- If the listing and the demo disagree, trust the demo and ask the seller which version is in the download.

How to choose a Bootstrap template
- Prefer 5.3 if you want dark mode. Color modes are built into 5.3. On a 5.0 template you'd write dark styles yourself or upgrade Bootstrap first.
- Check for SCSS source. With Sass files you change brand colors and spacing in variables; with only compiled CSS, you override rules one by one. Bookjar's listing says it's made with SCSS, but confirm the .scss files are in the download for any template.
- Count the jQuery plugins. Every slider, lightbox and filter library is weight you'll maintain. Fewer plugins mean an easier upgrade later.
- Need right-to-left? Pick one that ships an RTL version (ListOn, Banca, AiNext) instead of converting it yourself.
- Look for design files. A Figma file (Banca includes one) saves your designer from rebuilding the layout before changes.
- Read what the forms need. Ajax and PHP forms need a server that runs PHP, or a form service on static hosting.

- Your team prefers utility-first CSS or components. Look at Tailwind CSS templates, or our React templates if the site will grow into an app.
- You're starting from a design. A Figma UI kit may fit better than a coded template you'll restyle anyway.
