WordPress Education Themes for Schools, Academies and Online Courses: 8 Themes and 4 HTML Templates
By Manob Editorial ·

A good WordPress education theme gives you course pages, teacher profiles, an events list and a clear way to enroll, and it works with the LMS plugin you plan to use. We compared 8 themes and 4 HTML templates on Manob. Edufu and Zoomy suit online course sellers, EducateX covers schools and kindergartens, and Drivinly fits a driving school.
What we compared, and what a theme can't do
We picked eight WordPress themes in three groups (online courses, schools and colleges, specialist academies) plus four HTML templates for schools. We opened every demo on October 13, 2026 and checked which learning plugin each one loads. Manob has no theme built only for preschools; the kindergarten options below are education themes with a kindergarten or kids homepage. We left out a jet-charter theme with a token flight-school section, and an HTML template whose demo shows two of its four promised homepages on Bootstrap 3.
| Template | Type | Built with | Price from | Live demo |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Edufu | Education Online Courses and WordPress Theme | WordPress theme | Elementor | $59 | Demo |
| Zoomy - Lightweight LMS & Education WordPress Theme | WordPress theme | Elementor | $53 | Demo |
| DiT-Learn - Education & Online Courses WordPress Theme | WordPress theme | — | $39 | Demo |

| Drivinly – Driving Car School and Driving Trainer WordPress Theme | WordPress theme | — | $49 | Demo |
| Swimming Pool School & Course Booking WordPress Theme | WordPress theme | — | $61 | Demo |

| Edu-vice – Education University College & School HTML5 Template | HTML template | — | $27 | Demo |
Settle one thing first: a theme controls the look, but enrollment, lessons, quizzes and student accounts come from a learning management system (LMS) plugin. The common three are LearnPress and Tutor LMS, which both have free versions in the WordPress.org plugin directory, and LearnDash, which isn't in that directory and was sold as annual paid plans as of October 2026. None of the 12 listings mentions LearnDash, so if you've chosen it, ask the seller first.
Online course and LMS themes
Edufu: best for selling online courses with Tutor LMS
Edufu is built around Tutor LMS. Its listing names Tutor LMS Pro, WooCommerce and Elementor Pro, and the demo loads all three. The demo has five homepages (Online Academy, Online Course, Course Hub, Single Instructor and Kids/School), separate instructor and student registration pages, a dashboard, and shop, cart and checkout pages. Read its feature list with care: gradebook, content drip, certificates and Google Meet lessons are add-ons on top of the free core, per the Tutor LMS plugin page, so confirm a Pro license comes in the download. Manob marks it WPML-compatible.

Edufu is professionally designed to be fully responsive and customizable without coding. It includes 5+ pre-built home page demos that are fully customizable with easy drag-and-…
Zoomy: best for a course site that runs on LearnPress
Zoomy's listing says "LearnPress Supported", and the demo runs LearnPress across three homepages, two course-list layouts, course details, instructor profiles, pricing and login pages. It also has job listing and documentation pages built with the Jobus and EazyDocs plugins; check those are in the download if you need them. The listing names Elementor, Elementor Pro and PRO Elements compatibility, WPML, RTL support and Bootstrap 5.

Zoomy is a clean, modern and unique WordPress theme that has beautiful design and unique features. This will be the best suited for your educational purpose website like univers…
DiT-Learn: best for an institute that sells courses and has a campus
DiT-Learn's demo also runs LearnPress. Its four homepages are two university layouts, an online course layout and a kindergarten layout, and its pages include course grid, list and single views, team, FAQs and student registration. It's built with Elementor, and the same design is sold as an HTML template, listed below.

DITLearn is an item that has all the functionality based on education. All the subjects related to education are presented here in a beautiful way. Modern technology is used her…
Themes for schools, colleges and kindergartens
EducateX: best for a school or kindergarten that wants several looks
Manob lists it as Education & Online Course WordPress Theme. The EducateX preview page shows seven homepage designs (University, Kindergarten, Online School, College, Gym Training, Online Education and Islamic Learner), each in light and dark. The listing says 10+ homepages and the preview page's badges claim more, so count on the seven you can open. The kindergarten homepage is organized by age group (1–2, 2–3 and 3–5 years), with activities and events. The demo loads Tutor LMS, and the preview page says an LMS plugin is included without naming it. Inner pages cover free and paid courses, instructors, events and FAQ; the listing adds WooCommerce, RTL support and a child theme.

Highlighted Features: Free Installation Services If Needed Advanced Course Pages Dynamic Events & Testimonials Full Registration System Multi-Preset Demo Layouts 10+ Pre-built H…
DreamHub Education: best for a college that describes programs rather than teaching online
This is a campus-style theme. The demo lists academic programs from diploma to bachelor's degree, courses with a details page, events, a campus gallery and a news blog. It loads no LMS plugin, so course pages are ordinary Elementor pages, which suits a college that explains its programs and takes inquiries. Relabel the header's "Get A Quote" button, and judge it by the demo, since the listing says little.

Themes for academies and specialist schools
If you teach one skill, a niche theme saves you rewriting generic "university" sections. None of these three demos runs an LMS plugin; they take inquiries through forms.
Drivinly: best for a driving school
Drivinly is written for driving schools and instructors. The demo has course cards with session hours, instructor profiles, a gallery and an FAQ that asks how many lessons you need before a test. The listing promises online lesson booking through an integrated booking system, but the demo runs only Contact Form 7, so expect an inquiry form; for real time slots, add a booking plugin or embed your scheduling tool. Manob marks it Elementor- and WPML-compatible.

Swimming Pool School & Course Booking: best for a swim school with classes for young children
The demo has two homepages, pricing, team, FAQ and gallery pages, and a class list that includes toddler and infant swimming classes. Despite the name, its Booking page is a Contact Form 7 form (name, email, phone, website, message) that schedules nothing. The demo also carries pool cleaning sections and a footer that reads "Swimcraft", so plan to rewrite those.

Introducing the Swimming Pool School & Course Booking WordPress Theme: Dive into a world of aquatic education and leisure with our dynamic and customizable theme. Designed for s…
Savory: best for a cooking school or culinary academy
Savory has Course, Team, Pricing and FAQ pages, and its FAQ covers whether students get a certificate after a course. Manob marks it Elementor- and WPML-compatible. One fix to plan for: the demo's pricing table still carries driving-lesson placeholder lines such as "2 Hour Highway Lesson". It also appears in our WordPress restaurant themes roundup, for restaurants that sell classes.

"Introducing Savory, the ultimate WordPress theme crafted exclusively for culinary enthusiasts and cooking connoisseurs. Perfectly tailored for cooking schools, culinary academi…
HTML templates for schools
An HTML template is a set of static pages you upload to any host, with no plugins to update. But term dates and fees change in code, and forms need a server script or form service before they send anything. Our HTML5 templates hub also covers Lanklub, a language-school template, and the Bootstrap 5 roundup explains framework versions.
Education Online Course HTML5 Template: best if you want DiT-Learn's design without WordPress
The demo is titled DIT Learn and mirrors the WordPress theme above: the same four homepages plus a landing page, and pages for a course grid, instructors, registration, events, FAQ and team. It loads Bootstrap 4.6.0.

Welcome to the Education Online Course HTML5 Template – your gateway to a dynamic and immersive online learning experience! Unleash the power of cutting-edge technology with our…
DreamHub Education and School: best for a college brochure site
This is the HTML version of the DreamHub Education design. Its program list runs from diploma through doctorate, plus a "nano degree", with course grid and details, events, gallery, team, services and blog pages. The demo loads Bootstrap 5.0.2.

Dreamhub template is very good. It's a bit of an education template. You can create all kinds of websites with this template. If you want education template then this is best te…
Unimax: best for a school that promotes events
Unimax has two homepages (Default and Modern) and pages for courses, events, gallery, team and several blog layouts. Its "Purchase Ticket" event buttons are design only until you link a ticketing service. The listing names an Ajax contact form, Mailchimp support and Bootstrap 4 (4.0.0 on the demo), and says demo images aren't in the download.

Unimax is a clean and modern education HTML template. It’s a clean and beautifully designed HTML template that is an ideal fit for university, college, school, workshop, kinderg…
Edu-vice: best if you want more inner pages
Edu-vice has more inner pages than the other three HTML picks: course details, team details, event grid, list and details, pricing, FAQ, a countdown page, a gallery and shop pages. Its listing names universities, colleges, schools and kindergartens, and says five homepage demos, though the demo menu shows four. It's built on Bootstrap 5.

Edu-vice Education – a cutting-edge HTML5 and Bootstrap Education Template – embodies a sleek and contemporary design tailored for diverse educational institutions. Whether you'…
How to choose an education WordPress theme
- Choose the LMS before the theme. If you'll sell courses, decide on LearnPress, Tutor LMS or LearnDash first, then pick a theme whose demo runs it: Edufu and EducateX run Tutor LMS, Zoomy and DiT-Learn run LearnPress. LMS plugins work with other themes too, but their pages usually won't match the design until you style them.
- Course pages that answer the obvious questions. Level, length, schedule, fees and teacher. Open a course details page in the demo, not just the homepage.
- Inquiry form or real registration? A Contact Form 7 form, like those in Drivinly and the swim school theme, sends you an email. Student accounts, payments and progress tracking need an LMS plugin, and paid enrollment also needs WooCommerce or whatever payment option your LMS supports.
- Teacher profiles and events. Individual instructor pages (Zoomy, EducateX) leave room for qualifications. EducateX, DreamHub Education and Unimax have events pages; for a calendar with recurring term dates, add a calendar plugin.
- Kindergartens: write for parents. Age groups, daily routine, fees, location and safety matter more than a course grid. Get written consent before you post photos of children.
- Accessibility. Public schools often have legal accessibility duties, and a demo isn't proof of compliance. Test your finished pages with a checker and a keyboard.
- Translation and page builder. Edufu, Zoomy, Drivinly and Savory list WPML compatibility; Zoomy and EducateX list RTL support. All eight WordPress picks are Elementor themes, so switching later means rebuilding pages; our Elementor WordPress themes roundup covers that trade-off.

Regular vs Extended License
Every product on Manob has two license prices. The Regular License covers a single end product where your end users aren't charged, which fits a school, college or academy site that informs parents and takes inquiries. The Extended License is for an end product whose users are charged. If students pay to use the site itself, as on a paid course platform, that matches the Extended description; read the license terms and ask the seller if unsure. Neither license lets you redistribute the source files as they are. Every purchase includes 6 months of free seller support through Manob's ticket system, and you can extend it. You can preview every item before you buy, and every product is manually reviewed before approval.
When to look elsewhere
- You need it free. Everything on Manob is paid; prices across the catalog run from $9 to $93. The WordPress.org Education tag listed 955 themes as of October 2026.
- You want a much wider choice. ThemeForest's Education WordPress category described itself as "over 300" education and school themes as of October 2026.
- Your school already runs Moodle. A WordPress theme won't restyle Moodle. The seller behind Edufu also lists Edufu as a Moodle theme on Manob; its listing says it supports Moodle 5.2 and later.
- Courses are the whole business. A hosted course platform handles video, payments and student accounts for a monthly fee, with less design control.
- You don't want to set it up yourself. Read how to hire a WordPress developer, or browse all WordPress themes on Manob and the HTML site templates.
Frequently asked questions
What are the top WordPress themes for education and eLearning?
It depends on the job. To sell online courses, start with Edufu (Tutor LMS) or Zoomy (LearnPress); for a school or kindergarten, EducateX; for a college that only describes its programs, DreamHub Education.
Does an education WordPress theme include an LMS?
Usually not on its own. Lessons, quizzes and student accounts come from an LMS plugin such as LearnPress, Tutor LMS or LearnDash; the theme styles those pages. Of these picks, EducateX's preview page says an LMS plugin is included, and Edufu's listing names Tutor LMS Pro.
Is there a free education WordPress theme?
Yes. The WordPress.org theme directory listed 955 themes under its Education tag as of October 2026. Every theme on Manob is paid, but you can open each live demo for free.
Is there a WordPress theme for a kindergarten or preschool?
Manob doesn't have one built only for preschools, but EducateX, DiT-Learn and Edufu each include a kindergarten or kids homepage. EducateX's kindergarten demo is organized by age group.
Should a school use an HTML template or a WordPress theme?
Use an HTML template if the site is mostly fixed information and someone who codes will update it. Use WordPress if staff will post news themselves or you'll run courses online.
