Charity Website Templates for Nonprofits: 7 Elementor, WordPress and HTML Picks
By Manob Editorial ·

A charity website template should give each cause its own page, put a donate button on every page, and include volunteer and event pages. We compared 7 on Manob. Jakat is an Elementor kit that runs on the free plugin and installs Give for donations; Shanti is the only WordPress theme here written for charities first; Charitian suits a small charity on static HTML.
What Manob has for charities
Manob has more than 600 live products, and only five carry "charity" in their names: the Jakat and DonateAlfa Elementor kits, the Shanti theme, and the Charitian and Charitify HTML templates. Two more themes fit a specific cause: EcoGreen for environmental groups and Milarie for veterans' organizations. We read each listing's pages, plugins and features, and note what each one leaves for you to add.
We left out election themes, which our political WordPress themes roundup covers, zoo themes that mention donations in passing, and two gardening themes filed under Charity. Our nonprofit WordPress themes roundup goes deeper on the Shanti and EcoGreen demos. Both kits and both HTML templates are under $25.

Template kit, theme or HTML: which fits a charity?
The format decides who can update the site and where the donations come from.
| Elementor template kit | WordPress theme | HTML template | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you get | Elementor page templates you import into WordPress | A full theme with its own layouts and settings | Static HTML, CSS and JavaScript files |
| Donations | Both kits install Give, a donation plugin | Shanti includes GiveWP; ask the seller about EcoGreen and Milarie | None built in; link to a hosted donation page |
| Who updates it | Anyone who can use the Elementor editor | Staff in the WordPress dashboard | Someone who edits code |
| Also needed | WordPress, a theme, free Elementor and the kit's add-ons; Elementor Pro for DonateAlfa | WordPress and the plugins the theme names | A web host and a payment page |
A kit suits a charity that already runs WordPress and wants to keep its theme. Our Elementor template kits guide explains the format, and how to install an Elementor template kit walks through the import. Torn between WordPress and static files? Read HTML templates vs WordPress themes.
Charity Elementor template kits
Both kits come from one seller, listed as lisa on Manob. Each has 14+ page templates, a Global Kit Style that sets fonts and colors in one place, and header, footer and 404 templates. The difference that matters is Elementor Pro.
Jakat: best for on-site donations on the free Elementor plugin
Jakat's feature tags read Elementor Free and Fundraising & Volunteer, and it installs Give with ElementsKit Lite, MetForm and Qi Addons for Elementor. The zip holds Home, About, Causes, Causes Details, Events, Events Details, Volunteer, Testimonials, Donation, FAQ, Blog, Blog Details and Contact templates, plus a MetForm form. The header and footer are set up in ElementsKit Lite, or in Elementor Pro's Theme Builder if you own Pro. The listing warns that each page must use the Elementor Full Width layout, or the global header and footer won't appear.

DonateAlfa: best for a charity with Elementor Pro that shows its volunteers
DonateAlfa's listing opens by naming Elementor Pro as a required premium plugin and says Pro is not included. It adds Volunteer Details and Gallery pages to the usual cause, event, volunteer, donation, FAQ, blog and contact set, and leaves out Jakat's Testimonials page and form template. It installs Give, GiveWP Donation Widgets for Elementor, RomethemeKit and Skyboot Custom Icons, and was optimized with the free Hello Elementor theme. Its notes say to create a GiveWP form and goal first, or the templates can't show them.

Charity WordPress themes
A theme replaces your site's whole design, which means less setup if you're starting from nothing. Our guide to installing a WordPress theme manually covers the upload. Only Shanti is written for charities first.
Shanti: best for a charity or foundation starting a new WordPress site
Shanti's listing is aimed at charities, NGOs, foundations and fundraising campaigns, and it says the GiveWP donation plugin is included. You get 3+ demos, homepage and event layouts, Contact Form 7 and the Redux framework, on Bootstrap 4. The feature list names Elementor as the page builder but also mentions King Composer, so ask the seller which one the demo pages use. It also says all images are included.

EcoGreen: best for an environmental or wildlife charity
EcoGreen's listing names NGOs, environmental campaigns and nonprofit initiatives among its users, with layouts for donation campaigns, events, team showcases and community activities. It's built with Elementor and is WPML-compatible, which helps if you publish in more than one language. It also targets renewable energy companies and green businesses, so start from the campaign layouts and skip the environmental-services ones. Our solar energy website templates roundup also covers it.

Milarie: best for a veterans' charity or memorial fund
Milarie is written for veterans' groups and organizations that support military personnel. Its listing names donation integration for veterans' causes, memorial funds and charitable organizations, event management for fundraisers and memorial services, and a Veteran Stories feature. The donation line doesn't name a plugin, so ask the seller which one the demo runs.

Charity HTML templates
An HTML template is a set of static files you upload to any host. There's no WordPress to update, which suits a small volunteer-run charity. There's also no donation engine: any Donate button needs a hosted donation page behind it, and each new cause means editing code. Both picks come from one seller and run on Bootstrap 4. See our HTML5 templates hub and how to edit a Bootstrap template.
Charitian: best for a small charity that signs up volunteers
Charitian has two homepages and a filterable (Isotope) gallery for photos of your work. Its listing says the contact and volunteer forms work over AJAX, which makes it the HTML pick for recruiting volunteers on the site. The code is W3C-validated and documented. The listing doesn't mention a donation form, so plan your donation route before launch.

Charitify: best for an NGO that wants a ready set of 15+ pages
Charitify has two homepages and 15+ pages, with a sticky header, a photo lightbox and an AJAX-ready contact form. Its code is commented, which helps when a volunteer takes over the edits. The listing says the demo images aren't in the download, so budget for your own photos.

How do donations work on a charity website template?
The template sets the look. The payments come from a plugin or a payment service.
- Jakat, DonateAlfa and Shanti use GiveWP. The kits' plugin lists call it Give. Its WordPress.org page says PayPal and Stripe work within the free plugin, and each campaign gets its own goal and donation forms, as of October 2026.
- Some extras are paid. The same page lists Recurring Donations, Fee Recovery and PDF Receipts among GiveWP's premium add-ons, and asks for WordPress 6.9 and PHP 7.4 or later, as of October 2026.
- Charitian and Charitify need an outside donation page, such as a hosted form from your payment processor.
- Typed-in goal bars go stale. Without a plugin feeding them, someone updates the numbers by hand.
How to choose a charity website template
- A page per cause. Donors give to specific things. Both kits ship Causes and Causes Details templates; duplicate the details page for each appeal.
- A donate button everywhere. Put it in the header and on every cause page, and keep the form short.
- Volunteer sign-up. Both kits have a Volunteer template, and Charitian's listing says its volunteer form works.
- Events if you fundraise in person. Both kits have event templates, Shanti has event layouts, and Milarie names fundraisers among its events. Ticketing needs a separate plugin or service; see our event website templates roundup.
- The pages donors check. No template supplies your own story, registration number, privacy policy or a note on how donations are spent. Leave room for them.
Open each demo on a phone before you buy. Every item on Manob can be previewed before purchase, and our guide to previewing a template before buying lists what to check.
Regular vs Extended License
Every product on Manob has two license prices. The Regular License covers a single end product where end users aren't charged; the Extended License covers one whose end users are charged, such as a paid members' area. If you aren't sure which your site needs, read the license terms or our Regular vs Extended License guide, or ask the seller. An agency building sites for several charities needs a license per site. Every purchase includes 6 months of seller support through Manob's built-in ticket system, which you can extend, and every product is manually reviewed before approval.
When to look elsewhere
- You need a free charity website template. None of the seven is free. A search for "charity" in the WordPress.org theme directory returned 187 free themes as of October 2026, and a free theme plus the free GiveWP plugin can carry a small charity.
- You want a much bigger choice. ThemeForest's bigger range covers far more charity themes than the seven here, as of October 2026.
- Online giving is the whole job. If you mainly need recurring gifts, a donor database and receipts, a dedicated fundraising platform may serve you better. Link to it from a simple site.
- Nobody on staff will run the site. Read how to hire a WordPress developer, or browse all products on Manob with that person.
Frequently asked questions
What should a charity website include?
A page for each cause, a donate button on every page, volunteer and event pages, and news. Add what donors check: who you are, your registration number and how donations are spent.
Are there free charity website templates?
None of the seven here is free, though every item on Manob can be previewed before you buy. A WordPress.org search for "charity" returned 187 free themes as of October 2026, and GiveWP is free there too.
Which charity website templates work with WordPress?
Five of the seven. Jakat and DonateAlfa are Elementor kits you import into a WordPress site, and Shanti, EcoGreen and Milarie are full themes. Charitian and Charitify are static HTML.
Do I need Elementor Pro for a charity template kit?
For DonateAlfa, yes: its listing says Pro is required and not included. Jakat runs on free Elementor; with Pro you can also build its header and footer in Theme Builder.
Can a charity HTML template take donations?
Not by itself. Link a Donate button in Charitian or Charitify to a hosted donation page, or choose a WordPress pick that runs GiveWP.
Can I use a charity template for an NGO or foundation?
Yes. The listings for Jakat, DonateAlfa, Shanti, EcoGreen and Charitify all name NGOs, and Shanti's also names foundations. Both kits include cause, event, volunteer and donation templates, which suit any nonprofit that raises money.
