Travel WordPress Themes and Hotel Website Templates: 14 Picks Compared
By Manob Editorial ·

A good travel WordPress theme gives every tour or room its own page with duration, price and what's included, and puts an enquiry or booking button on each one. We compared 14 travel and hotel templates on Manob. Takeoff fits a tour operator and Royella a hotel; live availability and payments still need a booking plugin or service.
What we compared, and what none of them do
We picked eight WordPress themes and six HTML templates that differ in who they're for: tour operators, small agencies, hiking outfits, yacht charters, hotels and resorts. We opened every demo on October 13, 2026, and left out a wine-shop template, a ski-school theme, a thin seven-page travel template and two yacht HTML listings that share one demo.
The finding that matters most: none of the eight WordPress demos loads a booking plugin. Their "Check In" and "Where to" bars are Contact Form 7 forms or static blocks, so a guest's dates reach you as an email, not a confirmed reservation. Several listings mention a "booking system", but none names the plugin behind it. For real availability and payment, you'll add a booking plugin or a third-party booking engine.
Tour and travel agency WordPress themes
Takeoff: best for a tour operator selling packages
Takeoff is laid out like a tour catalog: separate Tour and Destination pages, an FAQ, two homepages, and tour cards showing rating, minimum age, tour type, location and a "from" price. Its homepage search bar is a design block, not a working filter, so you'd swap in your booking plugin's search. Manob marks it Elementor- and WPML-compatible.

Loffee: best for a small agency that confirms trips by email
Loffee's homepage trip search (destination, activity, departure date) is a Contact Form 7 form, so it sends you an enquiry to answer. Below it come tour cards with duration and price and a "Get A Quote" button; the demo adds Team, Destinations and FAQ pages. The listing says it works with booking plugins but doesn't name one.

Power Travel: best if destination guides are part of what you sell
Power Travel's destination-detail page lists languages, visa requirements and area, which suits an agency that sells on local knowledge. The demo also has two homepages, a guides section and a "Where To / Select Month / Travel Type" form (Contact Form 7 again). The listing promises a fully integrated tour booking system and WooCommerce compatibility, but the demo loads neither WooCommerce nor a booking plugin, so plan to add both.

Power Travel is the ultimate solution for travel agencies, tour operators, and booking platforms. Designed with elegance and functionality in mind, this theme offers a seamless…
Campground Caravan Hiking (Hikey): best for hiking, trekking and camping trips
The demo is titled Hikey and the description says Adventura, but it's one theme, built for guided treks: trip cards with days, group size and price, "Book Now" buttons, destination-detail pages, team-detail pages for guides, a gallery and an FAQ. It's marked WPML-compatible.

Campground Caravan Hiking Tent Accommodation WordPress is a beautifully designed and feature-rich theme perfect for hiking clubs, mountain tours, trekking adventures, travel age…
Tripzap: best for yacht charters and boat rentals
Tripzap is for a fleet, not a tour list: an Our Yachts page, fleet cards with "Book Now" buttons, destination pages, and pick-up and drop-off date fields with a boat-type selector. The listing mentions reservation systems and payment gateways, yet on the demo those date fields aren't in any form and no booking plugin loads; the only payment plugin it runs is GiveWP, which takes donations, not charter bookings.

Hotel and resort WordPress themes
All three have room pages, and each has a homepage check-in bar that isn't connected to real availability.
Royella: best for a hotel or resort with dining and activities to show
Royella's demo menu shows ten light homepages (luxury hotel, resort, city hotel, modern hotel, tourism), five dark ones, two landing pages and a video version. Room-detail pages cover check-in times, house rules, extra beds and amenities, and there are separate pages for each restaurant and bar, the spa, and summer and winter activities. The check-in form is Contact Form 7. Manob marks it Elementor- and WPML-compatible.

Resond: best for a boutique or island resort
Resond's three homepages are an island resort, a mountain resort and a hotel-booking layout, with rooms and suites, room details, pricing-plan, services, team, FAQ and location pages. One catch: the homepage's check-in bar is a static block, not a form, so it does nothing until you swap in your booking plugin's widget. It's marked WPML-compatible.

Luxury: best for a hotel with a spa and restaurant
Luxury's demo lists seven hotel homepages (B&B, city hotel and resort among them), two landing pages, and animated and video homepages, plus room-list, single-room, Restaurant, Spa and Spa FAQ pages. The demo runs on Elementor with Slider Revolution, and its check-in bar is a Contact Form 7 form. The listing's feature list also mentions the King Composer page builder, which doesn't match the demo, so go by the demo. It names WPML and Polylang support.

Travel agency website templates (HTML)
An HTML template is static files you upload to any host: fast pages, no plugins to patch, but tour prices and dates live in the code, every form needs a form handler or service, and booking means linking to or embedding a hosted booking engine. Our guide to HTML5 templates covers the trade-off, and how to edit a Bootstrap template walks through the editing.
Tripura: best HTML template for a tour operator
Tripura's tour-detail page covers what buyers ask: duration, minimum age, tour type, location, what's included and excluded, a day-by-day plan, review scores and enquiry buttons. Around it are two homepages, destination pages, tour grid and list pages, news pages, and a contact page whose PHP form handler the listing says works. The demo loads Bootstrap 5.0.0-beta3, a pre-release build you may want to update; it's also in our Bootstrap 5 roundup.

Tripura is a modern, responsive HTML travel template for agencies and tour operators. It includes 2 homepages, destination and tour listings, tour detail pages, blog/news pages,…
Travel Studio: best for a one-page agency site
Travel Studio is mostly one long page: hero, destinations, packages, team, testimonials, blog and contact. Packages filter by trip type (adventure, beach, cultural, honeymoon, family, wildlife) and sort by price, and each opens a detail popup with a booking-style form that doesn't submit on the demo, so connect a form service. It's built on Bootstrap 5. Replace the sample ratings and traveler counts in the copy with real ones, or delete them.

Tourist: best for an agency that sells hotels, flights and tours
Tourist's homepage has tabbed search forms for hotels, flights, ships and tours, plus separate Hotels, Flight and package pages and five blog layouts. The listing says five homepage layouts; the demo menu shows six. Two cautions: it runs on Bootstrap 3.3.7, an old release, and its forms post to a demo Formspree endpoint you'd replace.

Hotel website templates (HTML)
These suit a hotel that already uses a booking engine: point each "Book Now" button at it, or embed its widget where the check-in bar sits.
Staybari Luxury Hotel: best for a city or luxury hotel
Staybari has six homepages (luxury hotel, hotel booking and city hotel, each with a light version), rooms and room details, a booking page, restaurant, café and steakhouse pages, summer and winter activities, offers, pricing, gallery and FAQ. The demo loads Bootstrap 5.3.3. Its booking forms aren't wired to anything, which is normal for HTML.

Staybari Hotel Booking & Travel Resort: best for a mountain, airport or seaside property
A separate Staybari listing with the same inner pages and different homepages: Mountain Hotel, Airport Hotel, Mountain Resort and Sea Resort, plus dark versions of both resorts. Choose it over the luxury version for a resort or an airport hotel. It also loads Bootstrap 5.3.3.

Luxury (HTML): best for a smaller hotel with a spa
The HTML version of the Luxury WordPress theme, with fewer pages: two homepages, two room lists, a single-room page, Restaurant, Spa and Spa FAQ pages, a sign-up page and three blog layouts. It loads Bootstrap 4.6.0, and its forms post to a demo Formspree endpoint you'd swap for your own.

How to choose a travel WordPress theme
- Decide how booking will work before you pick a theme. For tours, plugins such as WP Travel Engine and WP Travel handle tour bookings; for rooms, there's MotoPress Hotel Booking. All three are in the WordPress.org plugin directory as of October 2026. If you use a hosted booking engine or channel manager, check it offers an embeddable widget.
- A request form isn't a booking system. Where these WordPress demos have a check-in or trip-search bar, it's a Contact Form 7 form or a static block. Fine if you confirm trips by email; not if guests expect instant confirmation.
- Tour pages that answer questions. Duration, minimum age, inclusions and a day-by-day plan, as on Tripura's tour page.
- Room pages with policies. Check-in times, house rules, extra beds and amenities (Royella's room page has all four) cut down on emails.
- Translation if you sell abroad. Takeoff, Hikey, Tripzap, Royella and Resond are marked WPML-compatible on Manob, and Luxury's listing names WPML and Polylang.
- Photos that load fast. Compress hero images and test the demo on a phone; Google suggests the largest element should appear within 2.5 seconds (Core Web Vitals).
- Page-builder lock-in. All eight WordPress picks use Elementor, so switching themes later means rebuilding pages.

Regular vs Extended License
Every product on Manob has two license prices. The Regular License covers a single end product where your end users aren't charged, which is what an agency's or hotel's own website needs. The Extended License is for an end product whose users are charged, such as a paid trip-planning service built on the template. Neither lets you redistribute the source files as they are, and each client site you build is its own end product. Every purchase includes 6 months of free seller support through Manob's ticket system, which you can extend. Every item can be previewed before purchase and is manually reviewed before approval.
When to look elsewhere
- You need it free. Manob's catalog is paid ($9 to $93). A WordPress.org search for "travel" returned 1,293 free themes and the Holiday tag listed 111, both as of October 2026. The directory requires every theme to be 100% GPL or GPL-compatible.
- You want a much wider range. ThemeForest's WordPress travel category said it had "over 300" travel themes as of October 2026.
- You're building an online travel agency. Live flight and hotel inventory comes from a booking platform or supplier connection, not a theme. Choose that first.
- Your booking engine already makes websites. Some hotel booking services include a website builder tied to their rates. If yours does, compare it first.
- You don't want to set it up yourself. Read how to hire a WordPress developer, or browse all WordPress themes on Manob and the HTML site templates.
Frequently asked questions
Do travel booking WordPress themes include a booking engine?
Not the ones we tested. Their booking bars are Contact Form 7 forms or static blocks, so you'll add a plugin such as WP Travel Engine or MotoPress Hotel Booking, or embed a third-party booking engine.
Which WordPress travel agency theme suits a small agency?
Loffee or Takeoff. Loffee's enquiry form suits an agency that confirms trips by email, and Takeoff's tour cards suit one that sells fixed packages.
Is there a free travel WordPress theme?
Yes. A WordPress.org search for "travel" returned more than a thousand free themes as of October 2026. Manob's themes are paid, but every live demo is free to open.
Should I use a travel agency website template or a WordPress theme?
Use an HTML template if your tours rarely change and a developer edits them. Use WordPress if staff add tours and offers without code, or you want a booking plugin on the same site.
What should a hotel website template include?
Room pages with size, beds, amenities and policies, a booking button that leads to your booking engine, dining and spa pages, and your location. Staybari and Luxury (HTML) cover those.
